September wrap-up

September wrap-up

Monthly wrap-up I have no idea when my life became this hectic. I am still really busy – the good kind of busy, I suppose, although I am tired all the time. I don’t see it getting any better during the last few months of the year either, my schedule is cramped.

But I got a teensy tiny bit of reading done the past month!

Read in August

  1. The Dark Forest by Cixin Liu
  2. Shadow and Bone (The Grisha, #1) by Leigh Bardugo

The Dark Forest blew me away. It was incredibly, incredibly good, and I cannot wait for the last part in the trilogy. Shadow and Bone on the other hand I was expecting a lot of but it didn’t deliver. It wasn’t bad, but I’m not sure if I’ll continue reading the next part (but probably not).

Book haul
Books were hauled, but photos were not taken.

Reading in September
I’ve got two trips coming up this month so I have no idea how much time I’ll have for reading (surprise!). I hope to read Arthur Japin’s new novel De Gevleugelde during my first trip to France. My second trip leads me to Athens and I’m preparing by reading Bulfinch’s The Age of Fable.
