First of all, apologies for my silence during October. The first ten days were still spent in Canada, and the moment I got back my calendar filled itself up to the brim. Honestly that’s not going to change the upcoming months, but at least now I’ve got a better overview and should be able to post more frequently again 🙂
Read in October
Despite being so busy, I still read six books!
- Audition by Ryū Murakami
- China Mountain Zhang by Maureen F. McHugh
- Murder on the Orient Express (Hercule Poirot, #10) by Agatha Christie
- Maurice by E.M. Forster
- Hell Screen by Ryūnosuke Akutagawa
- Revenge by Yōko Ogawa
The month started off kind of meh… I can’t help it but I really didn’t like Audition. I should probably give up on Ryū Murakami. Although when I mentioned this to someone who’s writing his dissertation on Ryū Murakami, he suggested I might like From the Fatherland with Love… We’ll see XD
Anyway, the rest of the month was pretty awesome! China Mountain Zhang and Maurice had both been on my TBR shortlist for a really long time and China Mountain Zhang got the full five stars. Revenge was another 5-star this month! And the rest all got four stars!
I got a few books for Ominous October… and a few that were not for Ominous October XD
Plans for November
No plans! No plans whatsoever! Although there’s still that Fall TBR to work on 😉
