Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Authors I Own The Most Books From

Top Ten Tuesday I’m a book collector (aren’t we all) with more books on my shelf than I can read (don’t we all). And I have some authors I auto-buy from. So anyway…. I do kind of really love this week’s TTT!

Ten Authors I Own The Most Books From

  1. 27 books: Haruki Murakami Well gosh I bet no one was expecting this /sarcasm. I don’t even own every book yet, but I have a bunch of different editions for some books and… it’s chaos.
  2. 20 books: J.K. Rowling / Robert Galbraith. I have some volumes of Harry Potter in multiple languages: everything in English, first five books + the two ‘textbooks’ in Dutch, and first two books in Japanese. And The Casual Vacancy and The Cuckoo’s Calling.
  3. 15 books: Neil Gaiman Third, not bad! Still have a lot left to read though.
  4. 12 books: Yukio Mishima I wasn’t really collecting him but was able to buy a lot of his books from a former colleague.
  5. 12 books: Baroness Orczy. All ten volumes of The Scarlet Pimpernel, and the book itself in three editions because ~*~it’s the Pimpernel~*~.
  6. 9 books: Yasunari Kawabata and Lemony Snickett
  7. 8 books: Darren Shan and Carlos Ruiz Zafón
  8. 7 books: Douglas Adams, Kazuo Ishiguro, Arthur Japin and Oscar Wilde
  9. 6 books: John Green and Banana Yoshimoto
  10. 5 books: George R.R. Martin, David Mitchell, Natsume Soseki, Philip Pullman, Philip Reeve, Jun’ichiro Tanizaki, J.R.R. Tolkien and Sarah Waters

  1. I put John Green on my list too, but honestly I only own 2 of his books! Just goes to show how little my series collections are, actually. XD I would love to own the complete Harry Potter collection JUST BECAUSE. I actually haven’t finished reading them yet! But I own book #5 which is where I’m up to, so that’s quite awesome. Here’s my TTT!

The only authors whom our lists have in common is J.R.R. Tolkien, I’m afraid! =)

I want to add that I think your blog is lovely. I admire it because it’s unique. You make me wish I were into Japanese authors, too . . . but the only Murakami I’ve read was Sputnik Sweetheart, pushed on me by a former student, who had hoped I would explain it. (I couldn’t. =P)

  3. Oh my, so many Murakami books! You really LOVE him 😉 I have the HP series too, but only in Hungarian (and I gave away the last book…) I have lots of Banana Yoshimoto too, but I actually don’t own many Japanese classics – only borrowed them from the library.
