Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Books On My Spring 2014 TBR List

Top Ten Tuesday With this week’s Top Ten Tuesday we’re looking ahead: Top Ten Books On My Spring 2014 TBR List. This time I will be separating my list in two parts. LGBT Month reading event is coming up in April, so half of the books on this list will be for that event. The other half are from my regular TBR pile 🙂

I noticed something interesting about my TBR shortlist that I made a few months ago in the darkest days of winter. I look at my list now, with a lovely spring going on outside, and I feel my shortlist is very winter-ish! It feels all wrong, like I put it together in a completely different mood (which is true). So I went and changed it around a bit haha.

  2. The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro

  1. The Remains of the Day!! Hope you’ll like it 🙂 I’m familiar with the Hitchhiker’s Guide but the other three are new too me, so I looked looked up Marina (such a pretty name!) and it sounds really, really interesting. I might have to add it to my tbr.

And I just <3 your LGBT month picks! Ari&Dante <333 I have yet to read Orlando and Maurice but they are both on my very long tbr LGBT novels list. And Forbidden Colors! You're brave! While I've read a few of his books, I can't say I enjoyed them very much, and, tbh, people like Mishima Yukio kinda… "scare" me.

    1. I really recommend reading something by Zafón! The Shadow of the Wind is so SO good, as are the other books in that series 🙂 His YA books are pretty awesome too. Marina is the only one of his books I haven’t read yet.
De Verborgen Universiteit (The Hidden University) is Dutch fantasy 🙂 Going to give that a try. No translation yet, sadly 🙁

Hahahaha I totally understand why Mishima scares you.. omg I made the mistake of looking him up on Google images *facepalm* I read Death in Midsummer and enjoyed some of the stories, I haven’t gotten around to reading anything else yet… So let’s see what happens.
I’m so excited about LGBT Month 😀
